Welcome

On 12th July 2008 Matthew David Robert Heath tragically died in a road traffic accident. The Great North Air Ambulance Service was available to give aid to Matty should he have required it. The fourth annual Matthew Heath Memorial Trophy is taking place on Sunday 13th July 2013 in memory of Matty with all funds raised donated to The Great North Air Ambulance. This is a family event open to all with many fun events planned on the day.
Thanks for your support!

Since Matty's death, over £19,800 has been raised by family and friends in a variety of ways including Boxing Day dips, bungee jumps and a Race Nights. Fund raising in this way, has helped all who knew Matthew to somehow make sense of his death. These valuable funds have been raised to support the immensely important Great North Air Ambulance which, let's face it, anyone could need at any time.

On July 13 2013, five years since Matthew's death there is an opportunity for even more funds to be raised. A 11-a-side football match has been organised to be held at New Marske Sports Club commencing at 09:45 am. It is planned that this will be a fun family event which anyone can attend.

Two teams are playing for the prestigious honour of being the fourth winners of the Matthew Heath Memorial Trophy. Entrance to spectators is free but there will be plenty of opportunities to donate to the Great North Air Ambulance as members of the Air Ambulance will be in attendance. There are fun events planned including a Raffle, Tombola and a Bouncy Castle. Refreshments are available from a variety of mobile food outlets and of course the Sports Club bar will be open.

A big thank you to Margret and Paul Green from New Marske Sports Club for allowing us to use the facilities free of charge.

Great North Air Ambulance:
The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) operates three helicopters based at Teesside, Cumbria and Northumberland. It has been proven time and time again that helicopters are vital for the transportation of time-critical injured or ill patients to specialising hospitals. The Service receives no government or lottery funding, relying solely on the generosity of the public and with costs of £3.6M per year to keep the helicopters running, fundraising is vital!
